1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the KC Tech Forward website, attending our events, or participating in our community programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. About KC Tech Forward

KC Tech Forward is a community-driven tech initiative founded by Intuidy Technologies in partnership with Plexpod and its nonprofit accelerator Plexpod Scale. Our mission is to develop tech startups, advance innovation, and establish Kansas City as a premier US tech hub.

3. Community Membership

Membership in KC Tech Forward is open to individuals and organizations committed to advancing Kansas City's tech ecosystem. By joining, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Abide by our Code of Conduct at all events and interactions
• Respect fellow community members, partners, and event participants
• Not misuse community resources for personal gain at others' expense

4. Events and Programs

KC Tech Forward hosts various events including hackathons, pitch competitions, workshops, and networking meetups. By participating in events:

• You agree to follow event-specific rules and guidelines provided by organizers
• You grant KC Tech Forward permission to use photos and videos from events for promotional purposes, unless you opt out in writing
• You acknowledge that event schedules, speakers, and venues may change and agree to accept reasonable modifications
• Registration for paid events is subject to our refund policy, which will be communicated at the time of registration

5. Intellectual Property

The KC Tech Forward name, logo, website content, and original materials are the property of the initiative and its founding partners. You may not use our branding without written permission. Content created by participants at hackathons and workshops remains the property of its creators unless otherwise agreed.

6. Partner Programs

KC Tech Forward facilitates access to partner programs including but not limited to Plexpod coworking spaces, Plexpod Scale accelerator, and Intuidy Technologies tools. Participation in partner programs is subject to each partner's own terms and conditions. KC Tech Forward is not liable for services provided by its partners.

7. User Content

If you submit content to our platform (forum posts, project submissions, event applications), you retain ownership of your content but grant KC Tech Forward a non-exclusive license to display and share it in connection with our programs. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

8. Limitation of Liability

KC Tech Forward, Intuidy Technologies, and Plexpod provide community services on an “as is” basis. We make no guarantees regarding the outcomes of participation in our programs, including but not limited to funding, partnerships, or business success. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our community and events for any member who violates these terms, our Code of Conduct, or engages in behavior harmful to the community.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of KC Tech Forward services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered members.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of Jackson County, Missouri.
